The National Pavilion opened in Cannes

On May 14, the official opening of the National Pavilion of Uzbekistan at the Marchée Film Film Market in Cannes was held at the 72nd International Film Festival.

For the second year in a row, the Uzbek Pavilion officially represents our country Uzbekistan in Cannes.

The representative office of the Uzbek delegation was organized with the support of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan, the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development, the Center for the Development of Cinematography, the National Film Commission of Uzbekistan and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in France.

The task of the delegation is to present the possibilities of domestic cinema tourism and comfortable cine-tracks of the country, to interest and invite well-known filmmakers to organize the filming of their films in Uzbekistan, and to attract foreign film companies for co-production of films.

As well as to present the fifth International Film Festival PROlogue, which will be held on November 26-30, 2019, in order to attract international jury and filmmakers to participate in our film festival.

The main organizer of the Marché du Film film market, Arnaud Menindes, visited and personally opened the National Pavilion of Uzbekistan.

Arno Menindes: “The geography of the film market is expanding every year and is very pleased that Uzbekistan has been participating in it for the second year. Uzbekistan attracts with its locations for filming. We hope that in the near future, we will see films where they were filmed in this country. ”
