As a destination for filmmaking, Uzbekistan has a lot to offer from undiscovered locations and facilities to reasonable prices to professionals welcoming foreign productions with open arms. This country is at the crossroads of the East and the West, where you can find both traditions well-preserved and economy rapidly-growing. It is yet one of the most peaceful countries in the region and in the world.
Actively opening up to the world lately, Uzbekistan is a “hidden gem” to discover, while our team — Uzbekistan National Film Commission is the guide for foreign production companies in making motion pictures within this country.
The film commission helps in every stage of filmmaking experience, starting from consulting and getting permission to finding partners and arranging shootings. Launched in summer 2018, it is the unique non-profit in Uzbekistan that is committed to attract “the people of the movie world” to the promising new market in the heart of Central Asia.
Our founding partners are Uzbekkino National Agency in charge of film industry in the country and Center for Development of Cinema as well as Young Filmmakers Council.
