In recent years, within the framework of the reform program of the new President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the economic sector, including tourism, art and investment, has been actively promoting. For three years, the Central Asian Republic has simplified visa applications and introduced a visa-free regime for more than 75 countries.

Innovations allow manufacturing companies to save time and money, as the state has canceled the application for visas for all members of the enterprise. Today, Uzbekistan continues to simplify its visa policy and expands the list of countries with a visa-free regime.

For citizens of the following countries, a visa-free regime of entry for up to 60 days to the Republic of Uzbekistan applies:

Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine.

Also, visa-free entry to Uzbekistan valid for up to 30 days is valid for citizens of the following countries:

North and Latin America: Argentina, Brazil, Chile.

Europe: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Great Britain, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Denmark, Iceland, Spain, Ireland, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, San Marino, Slovenia. Finland, France, Croatia, Montenegro, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, Estonia.

Oceania: Australia,

Asia: Republic of Korea, Japan, Tajikistan, Brunei Darussalam,

Middle East: Israel, UAE, Turkey.

And also from January 1, 2020, a visa-free regime for entering Uzbekistan for up to 7 days will be introduced for Chinese citizens (including Hong Kong SAR citizens).

To simplify obtaining a visa to Uzbekistan, the government launched an electronic portal e-visa. It is enough for the applicant to fill out the questionnaire, receive confirmation of the submitted application by e-mail, pay the fee and wait 3 business days to receive the application results. The finished electronic visa to Uzbekistan will be sent to the applicant’s mail in PDF format. When the electronic visa to Uzbekistan is ready, a confirmation will be sent to the applicant’s mail with a link to the portal, where it will be possible to download the visa in PDF format. The finished visa must be printed and stored for the entire trip to Uzbekistan

An electronic visa allows entry to Uzbekistan for up to 30 days within 90 days from the date of issue.

Visa to Uzbekistan upon arrival at Tashkent Airport

A visa at the airport of Tashkent can only be obtained by citizens of those countries that do not have a consulate or embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, or citizens who do not have enough time to obtain a visa at a consulate or embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan at the location (upon presentation of a ticket confirming the departure date to Uzbekistan as soon as possible).

For visa support for obtaining a tourist visa at the Tashkent airport, a copy of airline tickets is required in addition to the online form and a copy of the passport.
