Uzbekistan National Film Commission officially became a member of the Asian Association of Film Commissions. This happened during the 24th Busan International Film Festival in South Korea.
This year, the national stand of Uzbekistan was first presented at the Asian film market. It was organized with the support of the State Committee for Tourism Development, the Uzbekkino National Agency, the Union of Youth and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in South Korea.
The national stand clearly demonstrated the country’s potential for international film projects. In particular, guests and participants of the Busan Film Festival were able to familiarize themselves with locations for filming films in Uzbekistan, as well as learn more about the “rebate” system.
The ceremony of entry of Uzbekistan into the Asian Association of Film Commissions took place at the annual General Assembly of this organization.
Since the official entry of Uzbekistan into the Asian Association of Film Commissions, it will be engaged in promoting a new member in the international film market. Each month, information on film locations in Uzbekistan will be distributed worldwide through information resources. Among the important events are also considered location tours organized by the association with the best location managers in the world.
Recall that the Asian Association of Film Commissions includes 59 organizations (film commissions and film studios) from 18 countries. She promotes her members in the international market, for example, in London, Los Angeles and Hong Kong. The association includes countries such as Japan, China, Russia, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, South Korea, Jordan, New Zealand and others
